The Boogieman Cometh:

Summary: Two kids hire the RGB to bust the Boogieman, the creature who caused Egon to investigate the paranormal

Why this episode is great: The Boogieman scared me senseless as a kid, so whenever I see this episode I always cringe in fear a little.  The concept of the Boogieman and his design is really cool and freakishly scary. And because the B-Man isn't a ghost, the fact that the Ghostbusters must find a new way to beat him makes the series seem less repetitive (find ghost, ghost slimes them, bust ghost). Just watch it sometime, I know you'll like it.

The Boogieman is Back:

Summary: Egon's immense fear after a near-death-experience release the Boogieman from his captivity, and the B-Man is out for revenge......against the boys in gray.

Why this episode is great: Well, it has the Boogieman in it, so it has to be good! Also, this episode features the B-Man's true power and lust for fear. It also features the guys (mainly Egon) trying to turn the B-Man into a ghost so they can zap and trap him for keeps. In addition, the opening scene when Egon almost bite the dirt has great art and is very cool to watch over......and over..........and over.

When Halloween was Forever:

Summary: Two goblins release Samhain, the spirit of Halloween, from his stone prison, and the pumpkin head wants to make the night Halloween.......permanently.

Why this episode is great: The art style is one that makes you feel good when watching a RGB episode. Even better than that, Samhain is a ghost that you have to know and love. He is just really cool!!  The final fight at the end, however, is great when Slimer's "life" is on the line and midnight draws closer (at midnight, Halloween will become a forever type thing).

Halloween 2 1/2:

Summary: The same two goblins that release Samhain is "When Halloween was Forever" release him from the Containment Unit, and when Ghostbusters HQ becomes Samhain's fortress, it spells trouble in big, ectoplasmic letters.

Why this episode is great: The animation is great in this episode, and Samhain captures the Jr. GB, so this gives the guys a real problem. You may wonder why they can't just bust into the fortress, right? Well, Samhain put a force field around it, so only ghosts or slime-covered objects can pass through it. Make more sense why this is a difficult situation yet?

The Grundle:

Summary: A humanoid parasite called the Grundle infects a kid and makes turn really mean and bad.

Why this episode is great: The kid is turning into a Grundle, the Grundle scared me a whole lot when I was a kid, and the opening part with the Jabberwock is really nice because it actually has reference to a pretty cool poem (hey! I have to to poem analogies for school, so the Jabberwock was good reference!).

Robobuster:

Summary: Paul Smart, a lying business man, steels the RGB's ghostbusting know-how and builds a robot (Robobuster) that actually destroys the ghosts, and it is way more efficient than the old GB ever were.

Why this episode is great: All them "destroyed" ghosts form one big glob of ecto-goo, and Slimer is stuck in the middle. Also, the final scene when Robobuster adopts the RGB's proton style and they all (including Janine) blast the big ghost is really great because it has that cool RGB music playing, and it has a lot of proton slinging.

Flip Side:

Summary: Peter, Ray, and Egon get sucked into a world were ghosts are afraid of people, and dead versions of the original three Ghostbusters hunt humans and throw them into a containment unit!

Why this episode is great: Seeing Peter, Ray and Egon fly and go through walls (you heard me), being chased by dead versions of themselves, and malfunctioning equipment is a great plot for a golden RGB episode! The animation and art are also really good.

Short Stuff:

Summary: The Ghostmaster, tired of the Ghostbusters zapping and trapping his minions, sends three bounty hunters to capture the RGB.  When all else fails, one hunter shrinks the busters to about three inches. This doesn't look good.

Why this episode is great: The art and animation is really good, and it is nice to see a big 'n' powerful ghost take action to try and stop the Ghostbusters. Each ghost-bounty-hunter has a unique way of attacking the guys, and the coolest is with the third specter. He shrinks the guys to three inches and chases them with a containment-sphere: you can't get cooler than that!!

Janine's Genie:

Summary: After participating in a ghostbustin' job, Janine gets a lamp that has a genie in it. The genie makes Janine the Ghostbusters boss, and makes Egon fall for her, and hard. The genie lets loose a ton of ghosts, which give the Ghostbusters a busy day, and they take over GB HQ.

Why this episode is great: Well, it has that really cool art found in such episodes as "When Halloween was Forever", "X-Mas Marks the Spot" and "Citizen Ghost". And besides the art, which I must always mention because it does sway my decision, the story is very nice. All of the action and music sequences make this episode one of the choice 28 that I wanted to keep.

X-Mas Marks the Spot:

Summary: The Ghostbusters are thrust back in time and accidentally trap and contain the three ghosts of Christmas. This creates a ripple effect in time, and the story of Christmas has changed for the worse: Scrooge beat the ghosts himself, and everyone hates Christmas.

Why this episode is great: Again, it has the great art thing goin' on. But even more important, the fact that Egon himself must go into the containment unit to get the three ghosts back while Peter, Ray, and Winston try to play the roles of the ghosts make this episode a memorable one.

Citizen Ghost:

Summary: Cynthia Crawford from UBN News interviews Peter and comes away with a story about how the Ghostbusters came to let Slimer live with them. Sound kinda dull? It aint! In the middle of the Slimer thing, the guys battle ectoplasmic clones of themselves!

Why this episode is great: ART!! Oh, and the ecto-clones, I love 'em! The final scene when the guys zap and trap the clones is great mainly because the Ghostbusters are about to be wasted by their doppelgangers. What happens? Watch it and find out.

Poltrygeist:

Summary: Werechickens, yes werechickens, start spreading in New York like chicken pox, no pun intended. Egon gets bitten in all the mayhem and the Ghostbusters must battle a 50 story werechicken..without any traps!

Why this episode is great: This episode has that cool, eerie night theme and the glowing red proton blasts ya gotta love. The look of the werechicken ghost is amazingly frightening, and the scene when the busters are trying to cure Egon's chicken problem is just hilarious! Watch it, darn you, WATCH IT!!
