Peter
MacNicol a.k.a. the creepy Janosz Poha from Ghostbusters 2 was spotted
on a recent Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was there to promote his full-time
addition to the lame T.V. show Ally McBeal, and guess what? All that he
talked about was the time that he was invited to be on the Tonight Show
when Jonny Carson was still the host. Naturally, I was watching when Pete
hit the stage, but was surprised to hear him start talking about Ghostbusters
2 and nothing else. He was incredibly funny, and it's still hard to get
used to his voice without that "upper-west side accent." But
hey. He was the slave of the all-powerful Vigo the Carpathian, there had
to be some side effects after the traumatic event right?
Anyhow, I was lucky enough to be watching the show on my Mac
and snapped a few photos and digitized some sounds for all my Ghostbusters
pisanos out there in the digital realm. And naturally and as always, these
are exclusive to Ghostbusters HQ, so don't swipe them for your own web
page. Mac Users, please click and hold on the Macintosh graphic and download
it to disk, trust me, it's easier and sounds better this way.
Peter talks about his pre-Tonight show adventure back in 1989. Unfortunatly
for him, he developed a small problem... I'll let you hear for yourself.
(219K)
Jay asks Peter if Mr. Carson noticed his slight facial distortion. Peter
answers very professionaly... sort of. (99K)
Jay says to Peter that he's fortunate he played a very eccentric guy on
the Ghostbusters sequel. The conversation continues. (219K)
The conversation gets out of hand as Jay asks a question that I've never
heard a talk show host ask before.
