"Have you or any of
your family been diagnosed schizophrenic?"
- I've taken a hint from all of your e-mails asking the same
questions to open up this area on GBHQ known as the GB FAQ (Frequently
Asked Questions). I will post the answers to the most commonly
asked questions about the Ghostbusters and all related eliments
here on this site. If you don't see the answer to your question
on this page or anywhere else on GBHQ, who
ya gonna call? If you're a frequent
visitor, please click here to see the latest updates.
-
- Q. When will Ghostbusters
3 be released in theathers?
- A. Right now, I can't
give you a date/time... but I can say 2001 or 2001
-
- Q. What will happen
to Dana in Oscar in the new movie?
- A. Difficult to say.
But assuming that Ghostbusters 3 keeps to the same timeline as
Ghostbusters 2; Oscar would be around nine years old (as of 1998)
so it's not likely that he'll suit up as a Ghostbuster. Secondly,
Dana and Peter will supposedly be married in the new film(s)
but if Bill Murray doesn't sign a contract, then it's pointless
to include Dana.
-
- Q. Will you sell me
some of your Ghostbusters stuff?
- A. No. And please
do not e-mail me asking if I'll sell you something, because I
won't and can't. If you are looking to buy some merchandise,
please check out my Merchandise
page. It has links to online sites that sell RGB toys.
- Q. Can I use (insert
name of graphic or info here) on MY website?
- A. I have gone through
hours of work on GBHQ and it kills me to see people just take
all my stuff and use it on their page. Some of the items on this
page are copyrighted by one of my employers; the PANGEA Toy Network and using them would
be a breach of copyright laws to which they own rights. So make
sure that you e-mail me and ask first, or it'll be big-time trouble.
- Q. Will there be more
*new* Extreme Ghostbusters cartoon shows? I'm sick of seeing
repeats?
- A. Unfortunatly, all
that you will be able to see is repeats, because the show has
been terminated from Sony/Columbia's new show line-up. So if
I were you, watch the repeats and tape them while you still can.
- Q. I've heard that
Columbia Tri-Star Home Video will be releasing Ghostbusters I
on DVD (Digital Video Disc). Is there any truth to this?
- A. Yes, in fact Ghostbusters
was supposed to be one of the very first discs that Columbia
was going to release. But, for some unexplained reason (and I'm
still researching it) they decided to move it back to a "TBA"
(To Be Announced) date. The disc will be released sometime
this Spring and will be in the original theatrical ratio (commonly
called Letterbox) and will feature a digitally remastered Dolby
Digital 5.1 soundtrack. The disc should retail for around $19.99.
Update: The Disc has been released and is available in all retail
chains.
- Q. Will the ghost
of Chris Farley be in the new Ghostbusters movie?
- A. You would be amazed
at how many times I get asked this ridiculous question. And it
actually makes me chuckle a bit because it was rumored that the
ghost of Jim Belushi would be in the first Ghostbusters film.
Try to remember people, Ghostbusters is fiction, no matter how
much we want it to be real, Dan Aykroyd can't conjure up the
ghost of Chris Farley. Besides, I don't think that the Screen
Actors Guild considers ghosts in it's union anyhow.
- Q. Can I get a part
in the new Ghostbusters movie(s) or even get a walk-on extra
role?
- A. Um, well... since
you're asking me and not Sony Pictures- and chances are that
you don't have an agent or you wouldn't be asking me this question.
Then I would have to say no.
V.1.1
- Q. If Ivan Reitman
won't be in GB3, who will play Egon?
- A. Um... all of you
would really be surprised how many times that I am asked this
question, and the answer is that you just have everything all
mixed up. Ivan Reitman is the director/producer of the first
Ghostbusters films. You're confusing him with Harold Ramis who
played Egon.
- Q. Will Mark Hamil
be in the new Ghostbusters movie(s)?
- A. It's been rumored
that Mr. Luke Skywalker may step in as the mayor of New York
City, but the only problem is that all the casting and contracting
hasn't been finished on the new film, so there's no way to confirm
or deny this question. Sorry.
