Nuclear
winter. . . the fallout would leave nothing living in it's wake. Plants,
trees, even man made structures would collapse under nuclear war. But the
dead, they would smile at the mushroom cloud and keep right on coming. When
man is trying to get back on it's feet, and the ghouls come haunting: now
who ya gonna call?
Ghostbusters
2120 is a project originally created
and envisioned by Jay Young, one of the masterminds
behind the Star Wars Monopoly CD-Rom game. Ghostbusters 2120 is a conceptual
television show which will be fully computer animated, much like the new Voltron
series.
With professional writers working on the pilot
script, Jay's talent in design and his wonderful imagination, and strong support
from the Ghostbusters community, Ghostbusters 2120 proves to be a light in the distance
in the Ghostbusters television history. A glimmer of hope after watching the
rise and fall of Extreme Ghostbusters. The catch to the show is that it's un-produced
and hasn't been accepted by a production studio yet. Therefore Ghostbusters 2120 needs you, the Ghosthead's support.
You ask yourself; self, what can I do to help-
I'm just ready to see this new TV show in it's full glory on the small screen!
All that you need to do is visit Jay Young's Ghostbusters 2120 website and sign the petition.
The more names, the merrier as it shows that the demand for the show is high.
As information on the new series breaks, it will
be brought to you here on Ghostbusters HQ, as well as a script which is being
written by yours truely to download.
Ghostbusters fans, this show is in OUR hands- show
your support!

Take a look at this head model that lead animator Jay Young
has designed for the show. Note the detail in the cheek bones as well as around
the eye and nose area. Awesome!

A, um, clothesless model of Dexter (okay so the jumpsuits
are still in the works, give the guy credit for giving Dex his dignity). It
gives a good idea of the proportions that the characters will be built and how
they will move and look.

I'm not going to say anything because as soon as this sotryboard
is brought to life, it's going to be one of the coolest looking movies on the
face of the GB planet. I'm proud to say that I was involved with some of the
first filming of Ghostbusters 2120 this past week, and actually had my first
experience working with computer generated special effects. That's all I'm gonna
say, look at the storyboard by Jay Young
and imagine what the genius is working on as you read this.
