Title: GRUNDELESQUE- First Air Date: 10/6/97
- The return of the RGB ghost, The Grundel. Kylie learns that a Grundel has escaped a cacoon inside a tree, and is loose in the city. She remembers a childhood memory, of the ORIGINAL Grundel preying on her, and her freind, Jack. She manages to turn him away, however, JAck isn't so lucky, and gets taken into the Grundels ploys. But, Kylie wants to be sure, so she uses an experimental device to talk to the Grundel inside the containment unit. Howevre, Rolands younger brother, who is visiting the firehouse, wittnesses this event, and accidentally turns off the power to the device. It turns off, the ORIGINAL Grundel is free once again, and now they have TWO Grundels on the loose. With Rolands brother being the next victim.
Production Supervisor Shannon Muir's comments:
- There was a lot of photocopies of REAL GHOSTBUSTERS art delivered to the studio for us to sort through for concept needs or reference (see the artwork in the Real Ghostbusters area). That's what they used as a starting point for the Firehouse and other familiar characters and locations. I think the Grundel model came straight out of there. I remember trying to find a model of one of the Ghostbusters standing alone -- I think we wound up using Venkman -- so that Fil (Barlow) could sketch from it as a reference to put Janine in an old uniform for "Temporary Insanity." (This was shortly before I turned that episode over to someone else per my earlier note.)
