December 200388MPH Comic: Covers Online Sorry for the slowness on this report, folks. I'm out in the middle of nowhere running on internet that probably is two tin cans attached with strings but you've gotta see the sweet variant cover art that has been posted over at 88MPH's Website. We're talking cover 2, variants for cover 1 and cover 2 and even some cornbread stuffing for those of you who are not of the meat eating. Here's the Issue One Painted Variant Cover, Venkman looking Eastwoodesque Here's the Issue Two Variant Cover, Winston striking a GQ cover pose And then of course, the regular (and pretty dark) cover for Issue Two Thanks for Vinz and River for the quick news tips! Golden Globe winner Bill Murray? The award nominations for this year's Golden Globes are in and Bill Murray has been nominated for best actor in a drama! The Golden Globes will be held on January 25th. For your information, hair-do. I'm the best actor. The New York Film Critics have named Bill Murray the best actor of 2003 for his performance in Lost in Translation! Most of you know that I continue to do nothing to gush about this flick so if you haven't seen it, go now before it's pulled from the theaters for it's February release. Is there an Oscar in Bill's future? Stay tuned. Put the groundhog... ah... under the arch. There's a great article on Harold Ramis' "Grounghog Day" being part of a Modern Museum of Art screening based on theological movies. Since it's release back in 93, "Groundhog" has been a hit with all denominations of religion, each of them seeing something different in the flick. Definitely worth a look, especially for my theologians out there. http://www.sltrib.com/2003/Dec/12132003/saturday/119485.asp Ghostbusters make the front page on somethingawful.com Jhr sends in the following scoop: It appears the Ghostbusters have been making some tabloid news recently. Imagine if you happened to be in New York about the time of the interdimensional crossrip of 1984. this might have been what you saw in the paper the next morning. Thanks Jhr! Happy Birthday Winston... A very happy (and belated) birthday to Ernie Hudson who turned 58 on Wednesday! Dan Aykroyd on his stalker... So who knew that Dan Akyroyd was going to be on Primetime ABC last night? I sure didn't. He and his wife Donna Dixon spoke out about their experiences with celebrity stalkers. There's an article up over on the ABC website with a summary. http://abcnews.go.com/sections/primetime/Entertainment/aykroyd_dixon_031211.html Bill Murray's "Garfield" Trailer Online! And I must say, not too shabby... could go either way but the fact that Murray is involved and Jennifer Love Hewitt is- well just there, I'll most likely be at the ol' theater for this one. http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/garfield/ 88MPH Comic- Dabb on Issue One Progress Andrew Dabb, writer on the new 88MPH Comic coming in February chatted with GBHQ briefly about the progress on the first issue. "I have now seen all the art for GB #1. It's very good. Steve gets better with every page. People who know him only from GI Joe and Micronauts are going to be shocked. I'm really impressed with how he's handling the dialouge heavy pages. A lot of times comic book artists can only draw 3 faces. But Steve get a whole range of emotion. It makes me look good." Excited yet? We are.
GB: Beginnings Art Shhh... don't tell Ron that I posted this picture of the character Benson. Let's see what he does.
John St. Clair tackles Ghostbusters... The official St. Louis Rams website has posted an interview with offensive tackle for the St. Louis Rams John St. Clair.
